Residential fire sprinkler systems are designed into buildings to protect the people at risk who live or work inside. Typical applications are apartment blocks where a currently compliant design is key.

There is, quite rightly, a great deal of attention focused on fire safety systems generally in the wake of the Grenfell tragedy and sprinkler systems remain a vital part of any apartment block fire strategy. Student housing, multi-family homes and some hotels are other less common examples of where residential sprinklers can be successfully specified and installed. All JDFE designs are approved and installed to BS9251:2021.
